Trade Show Exhibit Rentals: How To Rent The Right Exhibits For Your Event
Knowing the right type of exhibit to rent for your trade show can be tough. Here are some things to keep in mind when choosing.
The Location of Your Tradeshow
This is obvious, but one of the first things to consider is where the event is being held. A location like a Las Vegas trade show is going to be bigger than a location like a Salt Lake City trade show. Generally, these larger-than-life spaces call for more expensive booths, with higher-end furniture and fixtures. On the other side of the spectrum, smaller venues don’t call for as elaborate of a booth design.
The Size of Your Exhibit
While you want the perfect space, too big is not good. A really big exhibit will create confusion and congest the space. An exhibit too small however, can be annoying. If you have a huge space to fill (like a convention center), you don’t want to rent a 10’x10′ booth. For something of that size, consider renting a booth with a 50′ x 100′ foot footprint. The cost of a booth depends on the size of your space. A good rule of thumb is to rent booth spaces with as much square footage as you think you’ll need. If you’re expecting to have a lot of walk-ins to your booth, you’ll probably need more space. Choose what’s right for you and your company. If you want to buy your own booth, consider consulting with a professional to help with your selections.
Budget
The first thing to think about is your budget, and whether you need to spend more on one type of exhibit over another. When you go through the show logistics process with your exhibit designer, you should be able to have a good understanding of what to expect. At that point, it’s best to avoid spending more than what you have. It’s best to budget by departments or topic. Also look for quote discounts, a good venue might have a special arrangement with the company you’re using. If the prices are too good to be true, they probably are.
